Management and self management in Chronic Disease. University of Bristol, The University of the West of England and United Bristol Healthcare.

A collaborative approach to the management and self management of arthritis. Degree/MSc/Continuing Professional Development module. Multi-disciplinary. Modules centre around:
a) the consequence of illness
b) psychosocial factors and coping
c) evidence base for patient education and self management
d) team working, communication, supporting patients towards empowerment
e) the application of these themes to the development of professional roles.

Rheumatology Practice Modules for Healthcare practitioners: UCE Birmingham School of Nursing Studies: For those working with paediatric and adults who have a rheumatological condition. Focus on management across acute and primary care seetings. Modules - 15 two hour session modules. CATS rating per module 12 credits at level six (degree) or 12 credits at level five (diploma). The Arthritis Research Campaign (arc) have a nurse and allied healthcare professional training programme: Graduate Certificate in Rheumatology Practice - distance learning course developed by Arthritis Research Campaign and accredited by the University of Brighton.
